Mojio announces investment by Amazon Alexa Fund

Today we are excited to announce a new investment in Mojio, as one of seven initial investments by the newly formed Amazon Alexa Fund.

Directly from the Amazon release: “Amazon today announced the Alexa Fund, up to $100 million in investments to support developers, manufacturers, and start-ups of all sizes who are passionate about creating new experiences designed around the human voice. The Alexa Fund—named for Alexa, the cloud-based voice service that powers Amazon Echo—is open to anyone with an innovative idea for how voice technology can improve customers’ lives. Alexa Fund investment decisions will be made based on the potential for unique or novel applications of voice technology that leverage the Alexa Skills Kit or the Alexa Voice Service, which were also announced today. The Fund launches today with seven initial investments.”

Mojio is one of the fund’s initial investments, acknowledging our position as the leading provider of connected car solutions while recognizing the potential for voice integration into the driving experience.

“Mojio is activating the connected car economy by delivering contextual insights that unleash a new wave of driving experiences. The possibilities from remote vehicle monitoring to route optimization will allow people to use Alexa’s convenient voice controls to interact with their Mojio-enabled car in a seamless and ambient way, said Jay Giraud, CEO, Mojio.
